OpenNIC project

Freewheeling spot to chew the fat on anything cryptostorm-related that doesn't fit elsewhere (i.e. support, howto, &c.). Criticism & praise & brainstorming & requests for explanation... this is where it goes when it's hot & ready for action! :-)

Hi. I'm somewhat of a noob, but I love cryptostorm. Thanks for this service.

I stumbled across this:

I wonder if I can still use crypto with this or if it will work similar to the tweak?

OpenNIC looks like they provide "clean" DNS servers. In the context of Cryptostorm, they would be useful for resolving the DNS of the exit nodes before you connect to them, but once connected the node will push a DNS server address (the DNS running on the exit node) to your computer anyway.

Away from CS (or any other VPN) they would still be useful for machines not running a VPN, i.e. "naked" PCs or Tor exit nodes.
