Project on Surface RTs

Looking for a bit more than customer support, and want to learn more about what cryptostorm is , what we've been announcing lately, and how the cryptostorm network makes the magic? This is a great place to start, so make yourself at home!

Project on Surface RTs

Hi everyone,

I'm working on a project to repurpose the original Surface RT systems for use in difficult environments where a closed ecosystem such as the Surface would be preferable to something more easily modified. Since apps developed under traditional Microsoft APIs won't run on the RT, and circumvention and security tools aren't developed for the platform, Cstorm is a no go as is, unless someone's developed a means of installing on it.

I want to port the Narwal widget to the RT, but have no experience doing so, though I'm willing to take the plunge to see if this is possible and a viable option for the project.

Any feedback, thoughts, suggestions, or otherwise is appreciated.

The Narwhal widget uses the OpenVPN software in client mode to make the actual connection to Cryptostorm, therefore the first port of call would be to investigate the possibility of building OpenVPN for the Surface RT. If you can overcome this hurdle, wrapping a nice GUI around it would be relatively simple. :)
