Some of you may not know it but Stripe, the current BTC payment processor on your site, uses Coinbase in the backend. That may or may not be an issue for some people but I decided to test it out and bought a CS token directly paying from my Coinbase wallet and there it was, a transaction with a note that included the Stripe confirmation number and that the payment was for Cryptostorm.is. See screenshot attachment.
Here's the link to Stripe TOS where they mention that they may share transaction data with Coinbase:

Just wanted to share this information so that people can be aware of this caveat of Stripe Payments.
Stripe BTC Payment Not So Anonymous
Re: Stripe BTC Payment Not So Anonymous
it still on the blockchain/ public ledger regardless.. perhaps the normal procedure of funding/spending the obtained coins from another wallet you can possibly deny control over. Other than that, its all open for all to see. This includes blockchain forensics firms capable of tracing stuff.
fwiw, tumbling cannot do much either. and i've had headaches buying bitcoin anonymously for that matter.

Re: Stripe BTC Payment Not So Anonymous
If you get the raw btc address to pay into then it's just that, an address. Anyone in the world could pay into that from anywhere.
Stripe may well note you're using coinbase wallet and then add notes and other data (like a QR code would for instance)
Or possibly coinbase generates the address on behalf of Swipe, and Swipe know who it was generated on behalf of (cryptostorm.is), and so coinbase simply adds that info to your wallet info for the transaction.
Ultimately if you have a coinbase web-based wallet, and pay via it, then it's not anonymous or private any way.
A mobile based wallet without iCloud backup is better.
The best is creating the actual transaction data locally and uploading it via blockchain.info (iirc?). That could be paid by anyone in the world with btc, it wouldn't necessarily have to be you.
I'm not sure how coinbase web wallets work, but if you're using one it's no safer than just using CC or Paypal etc from anonymity pov.

Re: Stripe BTC Payment Not So Anonymous
Even without the problems mentioned in this first post, it takes a lot of effort for you to make your transactions anonymous when dealing with Bitcoin.
A better method is to use our CoinPayments.net payment option, since they allow a lot more privacy-minded coins like Monero or Verge.
