Widget Hangs On Logging intio Darknet

Post by doesitmatter » Sat Aug 08, 2015 7:36 pm

So let me start off buy saying I love this vpn, keep the great shit up! So i been a user for a week now.. bought the 3 month access to check it out. It runs fine on my linux and mac. It was working fine on my surface pro 3 with windows 10 until yesterday. Yesterday i could use tor through the actual tor browser. I tried everything to fix that on tors end and network settings. The only way i could access tor was through firefox using cryptostorm vpn. So today on my Microsoft machine I tried to log on to vpn network and it gets all the way to logging onto darknet... then just doesnt connect and keeps retrying. i rebooted and killed out the windows widget and restarted. But now that the vpn isnt working Tor is working fine in the browser bundle now. So it seems on windows i can only access one or the other.. and cant even get back on to vpn. If you could lend a helping hand that would be great. Also i tried switch the tunnel location but that was of no help.

Thanks mate!

Hi there. First thing first:

- CS has I2P and TOR built in, so when using CS VPN normally you should be able to access ALL the darkweb sites without having to run the specific software
- Windows 10 is bringing, once again since XP and with all versions, the TUN/TAP problem when using the widget or any other software that automatically installs a TUN/TAP device
- All exit nodes should work exactly the same way relating TOR/I2P and DNS, so changing the node will not change anything about that

So, solutions?
I know it's not optimal but if it was me I would uninstall the CS widget and all software that create TUN/TAP devices, like OpenVPN or other software from others VPN's, then reboot system (not standby, really shutdown and them turn on again).

After this follow a guide
